The movie just came to theatres in Japan a couple weeks ago. You know, I don't think I want to watch a version of Pride and Prejudice that doesn't have Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy.
He just had the perfect combination of natural arrogance and sensibility for the part.
I'll just have to buy the BBC miniseries. I wonder if my mother would like it. It's only $26.17 at overstock.com!

I would have agreed before I saw it - but Matthew McFadyen is a wonderful Mr. Darcy as well. I first fell for him as wheb he was in the BBC spy drama "MI5". He speaks volumes with his eyes. Keira Knightley surprised me by being very good as well, and Donald Sutherland made a small role delightful.
Sounds like I will have to see the movie then in order to determine who I like better as Mr. Darcy.
Heh, in any case Mr. Darcy is better than any action hero!
