Japanese Powder Foundations part 2

Revue Superior Stay Pact UV SPF 25, PA++ (a brand of Kanebo, made in Japan)
* Good coverage, but less than natural finish. Surprisingly bad finish, actually. Perhaps it was my application method? I'll try it with a sponge.

Maquillage Climax Lasting Powdery UV SP 25, PA++ (a brand of Shiseido, made in Japan, spring and summer foundation)
** Good coverage and normal finish. Unchanged impression from last time.

Paul & Joe Protective Dual Powder Foundation SPF 25, PA++

* Moderate coverage with a rather natural finish. I rather liked this, but I would like a bit more coverage. Not particularly impressive with oil-control.

Elixir Superieur Whitening Compact UV SPF 26, PA+++ (a brand of Shiseido, made in Japan, all seasons foundation)
** Good coverage and normal finish. I can't really detect any difference between Elixir and Maquillage yet.

None of the foundations that I've tried has been particularly good with oil control. Elixir might have been okay, but it could have been my imagination.

Still to review:

Dr. Ci:Labo Compact Foundation SPF 16 PA++

Hi again Kuri!
Maybe for oil control you could try Diorskin Forever? I think this one might help, for its quite matte and absorbing...
I just replied to your comments on my blogy! Thank you so much!

I'll check it out! It's a little out of my price range though :)

Hi Kuri!!
Have you tried the Sofina Fine-Fit one? I think it's cheaper and you'll probably like. It stays put for hours and it's even hard to remove, unless you use a proper makeup remover. I say this because I tried to remove it with the Avene thermal water and did not wok, but then again it sounds a bit silly (I mean, removing foundation with something other than a MU remover).
The sking looks very clear and soft afterwards as well. The coverage is VERY good.
I tried to reply to your comment on my blog, but for some reason did not manage. About the Kate Trick Eyes: it's not very glittery at all. It is a bit shiny, but looks very understated and elegant, albeit super-well defined and pigmented. It is very soft as well. Black is a better option than blue, since you can wear it with any thing.
As for the MQ palette, yes, it's lovely! But I still prefer the Lunasols, tee-hee!
Now I want to try the new Coffret d'Or ones and also the new Aube for 2008 (the green one, ay ay ay!).
Let me know if you will get the Glam Trick! You won't regret it and will not look like a disco ball!
:D
Talk to you soon then!

Hi! I've never tried Fine-Fit - I'll see if I can get a sample. I think it gets rated pretty highly though. I like the idea of very good coverage :) I took a look at Glam Trick Eyes - really pretty! But I'm looking for a black shadow that I can use as a liner. Still, Glam Trick and the limited edition Aube quad (EX White 2?) are looking very tempting :P I saw Coffret D'Or at the drugstore today but I ignored it since it's more expensive than Aube, Kate, T'estimo, etc.
