purging guilt

After this trip, I will have delivered all but 3 of the gifts I bought over the past year. I will leave 2 of the 3 remaining gifts (to be given) with my parents, in the event that they see my cousins' parents.

In the process of giving the gifts I will purge much of my remaining guilt for various actions in the past.

There's still some lingering guilt, but there are a couple people that I can't find, so I must live with the knowledge of my ingratitude, to paraphrase Miss Manners (Judith Martin).

I am happy to finally give these gifts. A few of them are a couple years late. And I think that they are pretty nice gifts.

Plus, I can stop fueling materialism.
