goal setting

On the one hand, I should set small, realistic goals so that I will be able to make them. Builds confidence when I meet them too.

On the other hand, I need to challenge myself so that I will grow and stretch my limits. Otherwise, the limits naturally start shrinking slowly, like a deflating balloon. Have to keep adding air. But not too fast, or the balloon will pop.

However, if I set many goals for myself, I'll get at least some of them done, which is better than nothing. This approach is probably best for handling a specific day. Its effectiveness probably indicates that some of my goals are a bit too large to handle. Although a particular goal may be doable within a day, it should probably be broken up into smaller, more manageable tasks.
